Hide-out tent

Last Sunday night, Bubby decided that he needed a hide-out tent in the kitchen. So, him and I made one out of blankets. It was fun to listen to him in there talking to his dog, Sammy.
He had all of the lights turned off and had plugged in a night lite.

He thought it was really fun to have a hide-out. He wanted to leave it up all week. I told him that was fine, but there would not be any supper cooked all week since I wouldn't be able to use my kitchen. It didn't take him long when he was done playing to take it down. This boy loves his momma's cooking!!!!

Brag Time...

I have to brag just a little. I just got back from parent-teacher conferences. And yes I got great news!!!!! My little Bubby is just awesome! He is reading chapter books and taking accelerated reading tests on them. He also took a math skills test and scored 93.3 on it. He tested in the level of a middle of the year 3rd grader. He is sooo smart!!! He also gets to start taking accelerated math tests. This just made him even more special on Valentine's Day!!!!! We are proud of you, Bubby!!!!!

Bubby's V-Day Party

Yesterday was Bubby's Valentine party at school. They always have such great parties. He really enjoys them. Donald and I both went. Isn't he just the cutest Valentine a mom could have??!! He has made so many friends in school, I had to take a picture of him with each of them!! I won't bore you by putting them on here.
Except for this little cutie, Bree. She is such a doll and very much a tomboy. Marcus came to me and whispered in my ear that he wanted a picture taken. I said with who? He said with Bree mom will you ask her to come over here for a picture. So, I asked her to come where I was and this is what I got. Aren't they cute??!! But WAY TO YOUNG to worry about anything more than being best of buds!! Happy Valentine's DAY!!!

Meet Bulldog

This is Bulldog. He is 3 weeks old and his name does him justice!!
Bubby just absolutely loves cattle of any kind. Well, he has his favorites. He is very good with his responsibilities. He is up at 5:30 am getting ready for school and to go feed his calves. This makes him 5 now. And, he has paid for them all by himself!!!!!!! He takes pride in everything he does, but his calves are his top priority. We are so proud of him!

A Fun Tag

I have been tagged by Jacquie at Middle of Eleven. The rules are to open the fifth folder then open your fifth photo. Post the photo and describe it, then tag 5 more people.

This photo was taken at Turkey Trot 2007. It includes my sister, Megan, my nephew, Lucas, my Bubby, and me. It was the first time we took the boys to something together. Low and behold it was the parade. It was so sweet watching Marcus trying to explain to Lucas what was going on. Lucas was only 4 months old and Marcus was 6. We have soo much fun taking the boys to stuff and watching their expressions especially since Lucas is getting older.

I tag anyone who wishes to do this.....it is fun!!!! I always love looking back at all of my pictures.

McAlester Day 3

Today was our last day of classes. I have learned a lot and just refreshed on a lot of it too. It is amazing to me that some of these people that have only worked in this business for a few months think that they know all of the ropes and everything to it. Well, guess what?? You always learn something new each day. It doesn't matter how long you have done it or not!!
Here was our class. There were 5 from Texas, 1 from California, 1 from Georgia, and us 2 from Arkansas. Our 2 instructors were also from Arkansas. I really enjoyed this class and I can now say that I am a Certified Franklin Tech!!!!! Yea, how many women can say that 3 times fast?!!!
We left in the afternoon for our trek back to home. Yes, I could here my recliner, let alone my washer, calling my name!! HA! We took a different route home than the way we came. No, we didn't stop at any casinos because we just wanted to get back. The only stop we made was at Sam's. You cannot pass up that place!! We are home safe and had a great time. It will be frigid temperatures tomorrow. They say in the wind chill it will be -10*. They even have freeze warnings out for hypothermea. So, if you are out tomorrow like we will be, wear plenty of clothes and make sure you go where it is warm as much as possible. Note: my truck will stay running at all times because I will be sitting in it 99.9% of the time!!! HA!!!!!

Surgery

I received the sweetest card the other day from all of my nurses that helped take care of me on Monday. I had some minor surgery on Monday, but I am doing a lot better now. I also received a phone call from my recovery nurse Wed. to check on me. I just thought that was soo sweet. I really tried hard to tell everyone that came in or out of my rooms "Thank You". And some of them just looked at me so funny and the more I thought about it I realized that you know they probably don't hear that very often. But after it went thru their head that I really had said "Thank You" they had a big smile on their faces and I was glad. I am glad that it is all over and ready to move on. Donald stayed with me and he is just the sweetest husband anyone could ask for. I am glad that GOD put us together. Well, since I am better, Marcus wants a "date night" tomorrow. So, guess where we are going??? To the drive-in to see Marley and Me. I can't wait.
