Fishing

We went fishing today at a pond behind our house. We had a blast. I think Marcus was the winner of the most fish caught. He had went to town yesterday to buy a new tackle box with goodies to go inside. He also bought a new pole and reel. He was proud of his stuff since he bought it with his own money!!! He loves being outside....especially fishing!
Donald caught a couple of bigger fish.

My big catch of the day!!! I caught a total of 3 and none of them were very big.

Marcus and one of his big catches. He caught the fire out of fish today. He would have stayed there until dark if we would let him. I think we have a date for next weekend to fish again.

Bubby got brave and finally would hold the fish and take the hook out on his own. Watch out pros, there might be one coming up on you!!!

Visit with Lucas

Friday night we went to have dinner with Megan, Skylor, and this little man Lucas. We had a great time visiting with them. Of course, Lucas had to show off while we were there.
Here is a thumbs up for the hair-do!!! He will kill for this picture to not be let out when he is a senior!!! HA!!! This Aunt-E will make sure it doesn't!!!!!

He loves to brush his teeth. And he also had to show out in front of the mirror!!! He is such a cutie. My favorite little nephew!!!

WINNER!!!

Well, Bubby has once again made me very proud!!! He was the 3rd place winner for selling the most School Partners Cards. He won $50. His limo ride is Monday. And he is soo excited!

Dinner with R&R

Last Saturday night, we went to eat at Big Springs Smokehouse in St. Joe with Ronald and Rena. We ate and ate!!! It is very good food. Then we sat for nearly 2 hours just visiting. The men folks have come to realize that when they get us two women together, there is bound to be a camera somewhere!!!! HA!! Thanks Ron and Rena, we really enjoyed and needed the "adult" time together!!! We love you all!!!

Bike Rider

We finally have a bike rider in our house!! Yes, it has took him several years to learn, but he has succeeded!!! First of all, if it is not Bubby's idea, he is not for it!! Must be a man thing! HA!!! We are soo proud of him. He has rode his bike every night for since last Monday. His legs are getting more muscles!! I am sure they are getting sore too.

Flowers for Granny

I just thought this picture was precious!!!! Last Sat. we stopped on the side of the road so Bubby could pick his Great-Granny Lorean some flowers. I call them Easter lillies since I don't know the real name of them. HA! This has become a tradition for us to do each year. And I don't know who looks forward to it more....Bubby picking just the right flowers or Granny knowing that we are bringing her some! He is so sentimental in the things he does and I am so proud of him. He is my baby!!
Here he is with the perfect bouquet for Granny. When we took them to her late that night, she was almost in tears. Bubby asked her if she still had her vase that she usually puts them in. And she let him know that it was on her counter and had been wondering when he was going to bring her some flowers. Isn't that just so cute!! He really loves his Granny.

More from Skip Day

On Bubby's skip day, last Tuesday, we stopped to eat at the Daisy Queen in Marshall. You have got to have one of their burgers if you haven't already!! Anyways, we ate in the gameroom so we could play pool. Bub is starting to get pretty good at it.
He challenged is daddy a couple of games. We had a great time.

Calf Working Time

Last weekend, Bubby and his daddy worked all of our calves and Bubby's calves. He is up to 7 now!!! He ear tagged, de-horned, vaccinated, etc. all by himself on his calves. He is growing up too fast. I can remember when I got to go out and help work calves (mom can't go now since daddy has his helper!!) and I would be carry Bubby around in one arm and handing Donald the stuff in the other. Oh, how the times have changed!!! He is definately the FARM BOY!!!

Leroy & Olive

This is Donald's parents, Leroy and Olive. Today would have been their 53rd wedding anniversary. This is their wedding day picture. They brought 3 wonderful children into this world...Ronald, Brenda, and Donald. We have become such a close family.

This is a later picture of them. They were such happy, lovable people. They were so much fun to be around. Marcus did get to spend a little time with them before they left us. But, they are being taken care of in heaven. We love and miss them soo much.
We gave them a 45th anniversary party in 2001. They enjoyed it so much. We had a lot of people that were very near and dear friends to them that got to come to it. They were very surprised because they knew nothing about it!!! That was probably the hardest part of the party....keeping them from finding out!!
Happy 53rd Anniversary Leroy and Olive!!!!!!!!!!
We love and miss you!!
